Dead Cat Hat is a 4-pc indie rock band with accordion formed in 2011 during the reign of bands like The Shins, Spoon, Wilco, Phoenix, etc. They played shows in the Bay Area and along the Pacific North West with notable acts including Finish Ticket, Chuck Prophet and the Mission Express, Whiskerman, Cave Clove, Dog Catcher, Picture Atlantic, Rin Tin Tiger, and others. Dead Cat Hat was listed as one of the top five bands featured on the podcast “The Film Vault” which features indie rock bands on a weekly basis. The music of Dead Cat Hat is eclectic. Their first and fourth records are decidedly rock-based, while the second is a live country recording, and the third, an EP representing a 70s funk/jazz/disco vibe. The band is currently exploring ideas for a new album entirely different from the previous ones.  deadcathat@gmail.com
